It was an exhilarating moment when the China team has been announced to be the third prize winner for Asian Pastry Cup 2008. Be representing on behalf of China to attend the competition, John Qi with his two fellows were emotional about the win. “We are very confident of the competition and enjoy the moment.” said John Qi.
The Asian Pastry Cup aims to promote pastry art through a competitive approach, by providing an ideal platform for pastry chefs to meet and share their ideas on how to enhance the fine art of creative pastry.
The Asian Pastry Cup is the official platform to pre-select 3 Asian countries to participate in the World Pastry Cup in Lyon, France. The judging criteria emphasize on the harmony of taste of both cakes and plated desserts. The showpieces were judged on the creativity and the overall presentation.
